The story behind this cartoon was sent in by Katie and depicts a moment between her and her 4 1/2 year old son.  She was shocked to find out that men sticking their foots in their mouths and learning the art of back-peddling begins when they are little kids!

Kids really do listen to their parents, as The World According To Kids cartoonist, Arloa Reston, demonstrates in the first published cartoon for her new site.  All her cartoons are based on real children and real stories.  This one is based on her six year old nephew and his mother.  He truly pays attention to his mother when she talks about nutrition, health and fitness and the importance of a low carbohydrate diet!  How embarrassing when he loudly blurts out his newfound knowledge in the most inappropriate way!

Little Averey is at it again! This cartoon is based on the child’s view of McDonald’s toys and their usefulness!

In this cartoon based on a real child, this little Texas boy’s eyes lit up when he saw this woman.  He started to compliment her, but quickly “remembered” that his daddy said he can only use the word “sexy” when talking about his wife…and of course, he was too young to have a wife.

Here’s another cartoon based on Averey and her mom.  Averey expressed a bit of concern at how pretty her mommy looked when she got dressed up to go out!

This cartoon is based on little 7 year old Averey, who woke up feeling very refreshed from her nap!

I’m guessing this little boy’s daddy got in trouble with mommy for teaching him the “pull my finger” routine!  Understandably, the family this cartoon is based on  has chosen to remain anonymous.
