Again, my oldest nephew makes it into my comics.  Grandma and grandpa were visiting when he was 4 years old.  Grandma always calls grandpa “honey”.  It’s only understandable that a young child would assume that’s his name!

Being 5 years old, this little boy has a tendency to whine when he doesn’t get his way.  In an attempt to break him of this habit, the family has tried ignoring him and repeatedly explains that whining will not get him what he wants.  He does seem to understand that whining is a bad thing, but according to him, he doesn’t whine!

This is another Averey comic (from Newport, Rhode Island).  When this little girl was 8 years old, she couldn’t sleep because her dog was keeping her awake, and this is how she described it.  Very cute!

The story behind this cartoon was sent in by Katie and depicts a moment between her and her 4 1/2 year old son.  She was shocked to find out that men sticking their foots in their mouths and learning the art of back-peddling begins when they are little kids!

This little girl’s daddy was very confused when he found out what she learned in Sunday School!  After a bit of digging, he discovered what was actually said…

The boy in this cartoon is 2 and a half year old Nathan.  When his mommy knelt down to get something and
fell onto her bottom, Nathan asked her what happened and she replied she had “lost her balance.” Nathan then started looking around on the floor.   Love his answer when his mommy asked what he was doing–what a helpful little boy!

A grandmother in Las Vegas contributed this story about her young grandson.  The little boy’s response after thanking his grandma was priceless!

The little boy in this cartoon is 3-year old Nathan.  He would get really excited and begin to stutter and one day he ran to tell his mom about something he had seen, but got stuck.   His mom said encouragingly, “Relax, Nathan, spit it out.” So he stopped stuttering and spit on the ground!
